Spring! Where are you?! I so badly want to walk out of the house without layering up. Or better yet, be able to throw on some shorts and go for a run around Lake Wingra. And how I would love to get outside to finish planting my garden. But it’s rain for days. Freezing cold rain.
This smoothie is good to drink when you are wrapped up in blankets watching a morning thunderstorm.
Cocoa Nib Hemp Smoothie (Printable Recipe)
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (I used Califia Farms)
1/4 cup frozen kale (or other leafy green)
1/2 cup ice cubes
2 tablespoons unsweetened almond butter
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa nibs
1 tablespoon hemp hearts
1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
- Blend all ingredients together until smooth.
- Enjoy alongside a steaming mug of freshly french-pressed coffee. Or tea, if that’s more your style.
